The Swingtime Sweethearts

The Swingtime Sweethearts are Annie Riley & Le'arna Castle, both successful solo artists, with a combined experience of over 20 years. Their affection for the forties has brought them together to perform as the Swingtime Sweethearts. Their wide range of songs from the 1940s, wartime & swing, includes the hits of The Andrews Sisters, Vera Lynn, Anne Shelton, Gracie Fields and Glenn Miller. The girls have been very busy since meeting in 2006, performing at Air shows, War events, and Festivals all over the country.

Their appearances have included: Goodwood Revival, The Imperial War Museum, The Glenn Miller Festival Twinwood Airfield, Fly To The Past (Blenheim Palace), The Hop Festival and The War & Peace Show in Kent, Battle Of Britain Memorial Day in the presence of HRH Prince Michael of Kent, RAF Events including RAF Hendon, RAF Honnington and RAF Halton, Trafalgar Square for both Veterans Day and The Sir Keith Park Memorial Unveiling, The Institute of Directors Pall Mall, National Armed Forces Day and Salute To The 40s at Chatham Historic Dockyard, Brooklands Museum, The Julie Rose Stadium, Warners Leisure Resorts, Mercedes World Event, The Dame Vera Lynn Trust School For Parents Suffolk, The Kenneth More Theatre, The Congress Theatre & Winter Garden Theatre in Eastbourne, Entertainment Artists Benevolent Fund, Brinsworth House, Blind Veterans formally known as St. Dunstan's and the Royal Hospital Chelsea.

The girls have also performed in St. James Palace and in the Ballroom of Buckingham Palace, where they were presented to both HRH the Prince of Wales and HRH the Princess Royal. In 2012, they were heavily involved in both the Diamond Jubilee and Olympic Torch Celebrations and in 2013, were invited to perform in the gardens of Buckingham Palace for The Queen's Coronation Festival.

The Swingtime Sweethearts have released 3 albums "Those Were the Days", "Not Forgotten" and most recently "Their Finest Hour", as well as their charity single titled "Not Forgotten" which features an inspiring and emotional speech from the Forces sweetheart Dame Vera Lynn. The girls were thrilled to have their song featured as the final track on Dame Vera's latest album "Unforgettable". Sales from the single, as well as a percentage from "Unforgettable" are raising funds for the Swingtime Sweethearts' chosen charities, for which they are both proud ambassadors, "The Dame Vera Lynn Trust for Children with Cerebral Palsy" and "The Not Forgotten Association" for the ex-service and currently serving war disabled.

The Swingtime Sweethearts perform at organised concerts, shows, private parties, award ceremonies and a host of other events.
